2) How is your solution different from the competitors in this market?

In almost every market there are real, or perceived competitors who offer a similar solution to yours. How does your potential customer decide which solution to choose? Does your solution stand out from the crowd?

3) Does your solution fulfill an expressed need in the market?

Every solution needs a problem to solve. It seems simple, but history is full of products that failed because they were built before a need was established. If you think your solution fills a need, go out an verify that it does.

4) Can you target a specific audience with your solution?

Even the best products, or services will fail if they are not put in front of the right person at the right time. Find out who is the most likely buyer for your solution and this will help you decide how to get your products and services in front of them.

5) Is your solution compelling enough for your target audience to take action?

Have you positioned your product or service so that your target buyer will take action when they get your message? How often do they need to see it before they buy? Do they understand all of your answers to the above questions?
